How To Boot Computer From Android Device
Many of you may be in search of how can we boot computer from android device by using it as a bootable CD/DVD disc or flash drive. So here we are going to discuss how can we make it come alive.
Requirements
- DriveDroid.
- Bootable Image of any Operating System.
- Your device must be rooted.
- Computer.
- An Android Device.
Steps to Boot Computer from Android device
- Download DriveDroid app from play store from the above link.
- Open DriveDroid.
- At first time you will be redirected to setup wizard.
- It will check whether your device is supported or not.
- If your device is not black listed then click proceed.
- Now click Acquire root.
- Grant root permissions.
- Connect your device to computer.
- Click I plugged in the USB cable.
- Read and click proceed.
- Select standard android.(In most cases it works)
- Now check that whether it is showing any drive or not on your computer.
- Select the appropriate option.
- Now reboot your computer and set your computer settings to first boot from your device.
- If your computer boots and show DriveDroid, then select DriveDroid booted successfully, proceed.
- Now copy any bootable image on your android device.
- Open DriveDroid. Select +.
- Select add image from file.
- Select appropriate title and select image path and press tick.
- Now click on the image and select in which mode you want to mount this image.
- Now you can boot your computer from your android device.
- Alternatively
- After selecting desired image if you are unable to see drive on your computer then follow this procedure.
- Click +. Select create blank image.
- Specify desired filename and select size for that image according to your choice.
- Tick partition table and choose FAT filesystem.
- Now click on the title and mount it as writeable USB.
- You will see blank flash drive on your computer.
- Download Universal USB Installer from here.
- Open Universal USB Installer.
- Click I Agree.
- Select Operating System Name.
- Select Bootable image.
- Select drive and click create.
- Wait for the operation to complete.
- After completion you can boot it as a bootable flash drive.
